Jeep Wrangler Off-Roading

Capability is everyone’s favorite subject when it comes to the Wrangler. It sports the Trail Rated® badge on every trim level and configuration, so you’ll be prepared to brave rough driving conditions no matter which version you opt for. To earn this badge, the Wrangler had to conquer grueling tests measuring water fording, traction, ground clearance, articulation, and maneuverability.

Just about every aspect of the Wrangler model’s design complements its off-road abilities. You can opt for the available 33-inch all-terrain tires, for example, and enjoy improved traction both on and off the road. Additionally, the Wrangler can be equipped with rock rails that protect the door sills and beyond from any damaging debris that may come into contact with the vehicle as you pass through rough terrain.

Jeep Wrangler Performance

Under the hood of your Wrangler, you’ll find plenty of power no matter which of the engine options you choose:

  • It comes standard with a 6-liter V6 that produces 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque.
  • If you’re looking to maximize your efficiency, you may be more interested in the 2-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with its 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque.
  • There’s also a diesel V6 option that offers 260 horsepower and a massive 442 lb-ft of torque.

The standard V6 and the 4-cylinder also feature the ability to upgrade to an eTorque Mild Hybrid System. With this system in place, your engine will have a bit of extra low-end power on hand to enhance its already impressive torque. With that extra boost you can enjoy a smoother start off the line in addition to consistent steady crawling, no matter where the trail takes you.

2020 Wrangler Interior

The 2020 Wrangler model’s performance and exterior design are certainly equipped for adventure, but what about the Wrangler interior? Inside the Wrangler, you’ll find even more off-roading features that make the process easier than ever before. The carpet, for example, is weather-resistant, and you’ll find a one-way floor drain that makes it easy to hose down the inside and wash away any mud or dirt.

Cargo space is also prevalent within the interior. Thanks to the Trail Rail™ System, you’ll have an easy time taking all the gear you need with you on your next adventure. There are special compartments, a lockable glove box, and even a removable cargo floor where you can hide your precious gear away from prying eyes that won’t even recognize the area as a container.
