Jeep Cherokee Technology Features
Drivers that love the Jeep Cherokee features will be more than impressed with the latest generation of SUVs. The Cherokee has been transformed to commemorate Jeep’s 75 year anniversary. This Limited Edition Cherokee has many amazing new features, but that is just the tip of the iceberg. Jeep has revamped all of their Cherokee models to include groundbreaking technologies and capabilities. If you reside in the Sodus, Wayne County and Webster areas, read our Peake CJDRF review of the all-new 2016 Jeep Cherokee.
Added Exterior Technologies
Drivers will appreciate the brand new Jeep Cherokee exterior, which is a slight upgrade from the classic Jeep aesthetic. This car now has smoother lines and rounded curves to bring it into the 21st century. With an aerodynamic design, the newest Cherokee is accented by LED daytime running lights, a rear spoiler, and dual bright exhaust tips.
The halogen projector headlamps and fog lights further complement the front-end of the vehicle by giving maximum road visibility to drivers. Other accents include painted silver roof rails, heated mirrors, and red tow hooks, for an overall revamp to the Cherokee’s classic look. You’ll also find that, while these technologies seem like minor additions, they can make a world of difference while driving.
The Selec-Terrain traction control system allows you to manipulate the traction to enable the vehicle to drive through snow, mud, sand, and even rocks. This system comes in handy when talking about powerful drivetrains. Jeep offers up two high-powered engines for the all-terrain vehicle.
The first is the 2.4L Tigershark I4. with 171 pounds of torque and 184hp; the Tigershark allows drivers to navigate the city streets or highways with ease. Drivers looking for a bit more force should opt for the 3.2L Pentastar V6 engine. Its 239lbs of torque churns out 271hp, so that you have the power you need to stay safe on the road.
Improved Interior Technologies
The UConnect system is the star of the Cherokee’s interior. This infotainment system allows drivers to integrate entertainment and technology into one convenient interface on the vehicle’s 8.4-inch touchscreen monitor.
Drivers and passengers can enjoy HD radio, up-to-the-minute traffic and weather updates, 3D Navigation, iPod integration, Bluetooth connectivity, and a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot to boot.
The steering also has its own vehicle integration system called the “high-definition instrument cluster.” Drivers can use a button to view key vehicle stats such as average mpg and much more.
To top off the futuristic interior, Jeep has built: illuminated cup holders, an alpine sound system, heated seats and an aux-media hub. These features transform the Cherokee into a home away from home where passengers can enjoy entertainment and comfort while riding in style.
