RAM 1500 Review:

The RAM 1500 is available in three cab configurations, three bed configurations and standard rear-wheel drive. It also offers eight trims to choose from – Tradesman, Tradesman/Express, HFE, SLT, Sport, Laramie, Rebel and Longhorn. Most come with a 3.6L Pentastar six-cylinder engine that generates 305 horsepower for potent driving dynamics and heavy-duty capabilities.

The RAM also offers a 395 horsepower 5.7L V8 engine and a 240 horsepower 3.0L Ecodiesel engine. Each provide sharp power and handling while optimizing its fuel economy and performance. Along with its engines, shoppers can choose between a six and eight-speed automatic transmission for efficient and smooth gear shifts.

Depending on how it’s equipped, the RAM 1500 can transport up to 1,880 pounds of payload and 10,650 pounds of towing, making it easy to carry any cargo long distances in Webster, Sodus and Wayne County.

Toyota Tacoma Review

The Toyota Tacoma is only offered in seven trim levels – SR, SR5, SR5 V6, SR V6, TRD Sport, TRD Off Road And Limited. Additionally, the Tacoma is available in two cab and bed configurations, which offers less versatility than the 2016 RAM 1500.

The Toyota Tacoma’s lowest two trims come with a 159 horsepower 2.7L four-cylinder engine, while its higher five trims get a 278 horsepower 3.5L V6 engine. Neither offer quite as much force as the RAM 1500, which is designed for unbridled potency and capability.

The Toyota Tacoma offers three transmission options, including a six-speed manual, five-speed manual and a six-speed automatic. Each are sufficient for gear shifting, but the RAM’s transmission options provide a smoother performance.

Depending on how it is equipped, the Toyota Tacoma tows a respectable 6800 pounds. Even though this is sufficient for smaller loads, the RAM 1500 may be the better choice if you need a heavier duty cargo capacity.
